The Parcel by Marie Claire: Winter Edition

So apparently I was one of the very first people to receive the box this time around! Too bad I wasn’t able to blog about until now – after exams. Grr! How’d the Winter edition go? I loved it. There are mixed reviews floating around but I can safely say I loved it. The Autumn edit was a bit of a bummer for me – there were complexion products and they just did not work on me as they were way too light. I loved the Winter edit so much, I signed on for another 2 years lol whoops 😛 Let’s take a look inside! O.P.I Nail Laquer (RRP $19.95) Everyone was given a colour from the 50 Shades of Grey Collection. I received Romantically Involved which is a beautiful blood red shade – pretty perfect for winter!   L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes So Couture (RRP $27.95) Yes! I loved the normal Volume Million Lashes so I am pumped as to try this! Also, mascara is a clever addition to put in a box that arrives every 3 months as you have to change your mascara every 3 months! (This was pointed out by a clever lady on a facebook group I’m a part of and I’m still in awe. I wonder if they actually thought it through that thoroughly or…)  Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid (RRP $15.95) Yes. I love lip products and Lanolips is one of them! I actually haven’t used one in ages but it really does leave your lips feeling soft! It contains 70% “ultra medical-grade” (whatever what means) lanolin!  Estèe Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme (30mL) (RRP $80 full size) I love the fact that The Parcel gives us the chance to trial high end skin care – e.g Lancome and Estèe Lauder – unlike other beauty boxes available in Australia! The last Estèe Lauder product in The Parcel was the Night Eye Cream and I have since repurchased a full size (it’s amazing srsly).  Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask for Intense Hydration (3 given – RRP $25 for pack of 5) YAAAASSS! I tried this last night and LOVE it! Their Hydro Boost range has been full of pleasant surprises 🙂  Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes (RRP $3.99)  These makeup wipes are another kind that don’t sting my face. They leave your face quite greasy and oiled up but are great for eye makeup. I usually use these if I’m taking eye makeup off before a shower. Also, who doesn’t like face wipes!  John Frieda Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo, Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner and Ocean Waves Sea Salt Spray (sample size – RRP $16.99ea full size) Apparently great for non-blondes too! Am I the only person who appreciates shampoo samples? They’re perfect for travelling – which I do every now and then.  Woolworths Select Quick & Easy Nail Polish 30 Removal Wipes (RRP $2) This was a bit of a cute add on. It kind of makes me want to use this to remove my current black nails and try the red! Guess that was were they were heading? (Or once again am I overthinking the creators thought process (just like English teachers and novel analysis)). Overall, I loved this box! I know a lot of people were unhappy with most of it, especially the shampoo. That would be my least favourite out of the box – but everything else I’d use straight away! If you have an extra $10 every month ($29.95 a season), definitely #TreatYoSelf 😀
