Why?

I cannot believe 1,000 people find me at least remotely interesting and are willing to put up with my face popping up on their dashboards every now and then! Thank you for all your kind words and support!

I think now would be a great time to pause and reflect on the cliche “how far I have come and where I wish to head”!

I first started this blog because I discovered my love for hoarding makeup and I always got asked what I was wearing, what shade my lipstick was, how do I apply eyeliner so smoothly etc. and thought it may be fun to share it on a platform others can read and add their thoughts to. I honestly don’t know anything about makeup but the past few months have been a great experience and I have learnt so much about different products, their ingredients, their uses and different techniques just by reading other people’s blog posts, watching their videos and looking at their Insta photos.

Over this time, I have learnt which makeup brush is for what (I seriously did not know – I still have to check every know and then), how to blend eyeshadows together and how much of a difference a good highlight can make.

Not only have I discovered all these ins and outs of makeup, but how social media really works (which i found super interesting because I study Marketing and it was pretty cool to get to see how promoting your own brand works #nerd)
