I’ve had a hugely EVENTful week with a whole bunch of new things to try and experiences to tell you all about. I have to say, the one that stood out the most was the Bellabox x Benefit Masterclass which took place at the Bellabox HQ in Melbourne CBD!

Located on the first floor with the unexpectedly sunny melbourne shining in, Bellabox had set up a gorgeous space with beautiful flowers, decor and…cupcakes! There were a whole bunch of Benefit products spread out on the table – both new (like the new POREfessional products) and the old favourites too! We were greeted by Sam from Bellabox, who introduced us to Luci who is a Benefit representative (who was super sweet!)

Luci took us through a step by step makeup routine using Benefit products, teaching us the “Benefits” of using them too! (Ok just a warning, this post is going to be full of lame puns.) The session was mainly focused around Benefit’s range of products that aim to reduce the appearance of pores.

To kick it off, Benefit have this BRAND NEW Instant Wipeout mask with mushroom extract that is worn on problem areas (forehead, nose and chin) for 10 minutes. Then, you flip it over onto the textured side and scrub the gunk away. This reduces the appearance of pores instantly – without using any makeup yet! Then we spoke about another new product, the POREfessional: Matte Rescue mattifying gel which acts as a mattifying primer that can be used all over the face. Then – of course – cult favourite POREfessional primer! This is applied on POREblem (hehe) areas – I focus it around my nose. It’s so silky smooth and has a brightening effect on my skin so I bring it up to under my eyes. We then uses the Hello Flawless foundation, highlighted with Watts Up (ma fave) and contoured with the beach-in-a-box Hoola bronzer! To finish off, we used generous coatings of They’re Real mascara and the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine over the t-zone, nose and chin to add a soft focus on top to blur out the pores as well as set it all in place. This powder was a peach/flesh tones colour which had a brightening effect on for my complexion!

The Benefit Masterclass was absolutely great. I learnt SO much and got to connect with other beauty bloggers/vloggers/instagrammers and meet some of the Bellabox crew! They filmed parts of the day and we spoke about how we felt about the products – so hopefully you’ll get to see that soon! I’ll link it to this post when it is ready!
