So, where on earth did this year go? We’re already halfway the year! It’s time to get my taxes in order!
This month, it’s been all about the lashes for me! Working full time, I haven’t been wearing too much makeup and kept things quite neutral BUT I have been rocking strong, bold eyes that stand out underneath my glasses 😀
Red Cherry Lashes is WSP
WSP provide a natural, wispy look and blend into my natural lashes super easy! The lashes themselves are made of human hair (yeah I was freaked out at the start too) but that means they have a matte, natural finish and not shiny and plastic like many cheap lashes. Speaking of cheap, I bought 5 of these for AUD$30 from eBay which was a GREAT deal! They are reusable. I’ve worn these at least 4 times and cleaned them thoroughly after each wear and they’ve still got a lot of life in them! (I love the other 4 pairs I bought but WSP are the most natural lashes I have ever found!)
DUO Dark Tone Lash Glue
Following on with the fake lashes theme, I bought this lash glue just because I needed a lash glue for my new pairs of lashes (Red Cherry don’t come with lash glue). I had heard many good things about DUO which is available to purchase from MAC counters, INGLOT stores and other makeup stores for approximately $16. Yeah no, ain’t nobody paying $16 for a small tube of glue. So I went to eBay (eBay is heaven in store form) and bought one from Hong Kong for under $3!! #datsaving It has a sealed opening, so I had to (get a friend) to cut the tip for me. The glue pours out if you’re not careful but it holds lashes down well. OH AND I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTION THAT THE GLUE IS BLACK YES BLACK! I will never return to white/clear adhesive again! Black glue dried dark and blends into my eyeliner. I find with clear glue, I always have to go over the top with an eyeliner to make sure it doesn’t reflect any white or clear lumps.
Josie Maran Black Oil Mascara
I don’t know why this hasn’t been raved about more! It has definitely become one of my HGs. it lengthens and darkens my lashes whilst nourishing them. They can apply quite… oily? (duh) which means some lashes may stick together with a lot of coats. But, I go over with Manicare Disposable Mascara Brush to separate my lashes. The oil component makes it easy to remove as well. I remove my eye makeup with coconut oil and this mascara just slides right off my lashes with a coconut oil soaked cotton pad. This is definitely one of my favourite mascaras of all time and at $27 each, it is well worth the investment.
ColourPop Lippie Primer
(Haul post coming soon)
This lippie primer makes sure my lipsticks stay on and in one place without feathering. It is comparable to the MAC lippie primer (which is like 6 times the price) and prevents lipsticks from staining my lips horribly.
Gerard Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Seduction
If you’ve been following me on instagram for a while now, you will know how obsessed I’ve become over this lipgloss! Regardless of the controversy surrounding Gerard Cosmetics as a brand, their glosses are great – highly pigmented and non sticky. They do have the tendency to slip and slide around so I like to wear a coat of lipstick or line my lips first!
So that’s what I’ve been loving this month! Let me know what you think of these products below, or tell me what you’re digging this month!
All opinions are that of my own. All products were purchased myself. All photography taken by myself.
I’m a huge red cherry fan!!! Wearing them every day!!
Yes! And they’re so comfortable too!
I know. What are your favorite style numbers? I tend to go for 415, 43, 523, 747L. Which ones do you like? Oh and WSP. The Demi WSP is a little small for me.
I’m still a beginner with Red Cherry! I like 217s. I’ll have to give those ones a go!
I’m so addicted I keep buying and buying!! You’ll fall in love with 43
