Brand Spotlight: Neutrogena

So, Neutrogena is half price at Priceline (27/9 – 28/9) so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to show you my favourites!

Unfortunately, the Light Therapy Acne Mask is not on the 50% off sale (review coming soon), but it is 30% off and there are plenty of other products to choose from.

Neutrogena Face Wipes have been a forever favourite. In fact, these face wipes are my most purchased skin care item. I have been repurchasing these for the last 2-3 years. Available in normal and night calming, the cloth is thick and soft, there is no excessive amount of liquid and no stinging! The best part of having the thicker cloth is that you get more use out of the one wipe.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Masks are a must before I do my makeup for a special event. It adds so much moisture and plumps my skin, providing a soft and smooth canvas to apply makeup onto. These come in packs of 5 and are individually sealed. Be careful if you have rashes or get itchy eyes in Spring (damn you hayfever!), as it can sting, in which case – do not use!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser moisturises your skin without leaving you feeling greasy and wet. It absorbs into your skin and the makeup of the product is designed to release moisture throughout the day. Continue reading

Marie Claire’s The Parcel: Winter 2016

Hey friends!

So, I usually film my unboxings but I refuse to get out of my monkey onesie and don’t think it’s “socially acceptable” to post a video of myself in it… so blog post it is!

I’ve spoken about The Parcel sooo many times before but as a quick summary – curated by magazine Marie Claire, quarterly & pretty deece!

I received my box this morning and without further-a-do, here’s what’s inside!

Mecca Cosmetica: To Save Face SPF 50+ Superscreen

Hi there!

Welcome to my blog post about sunscreen. Yes, sunscreen. Sounds boring right? NOT THIS ONE! (Well at least I think so.)

IMG_4015.JPG

Mecca Cosmetica (our Australian version of Sephora… even though we have Sephora) have an amazing range of beauty and skincare products. They have everything from nailpolish and lashes to hand cream and eye cream. In one of the latest Beauty Loop (rewards/loyalty) boxes, we received a sample of the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF 50+ Superscreen. I honestly was disappointed when I saw this, as sunscreen is usually thick and white which makes my face look grey. BUT then I tried it and was super surprised!

The many uses of Coconut Oil

Hi again!

Yes my posts are becoming more regular – yay! So recently, I’ve been trying to revert back to natural products or products with simple ingredients. The product I’ve been using the most is COCONUT OIL! I know there’s been a lot of hype around coconut oil recently, so I’ve created a list of uses – and there are A LOT!

bellabox: February 2016 Unboxing/ Review

Hi there!

So, as you may have noticed, the number of subscription box services have multiplied like crazy over the past couple of years. They have a box for EVERYTHING! But of course, I like me some beauty boxes.

I was lucky enough to receive a beauty box from Australian Subscription Box service Bellabox! Bellabox was one of the first sub boxes on the market and have ties with some amazing brands.

Frankie and Lou Essential Facial Oil

Want to wake up with baby soft, hydrated skin? You need to try Frankie Lou essential facial oil.

As you’ve probably heard me complain about by now, I have ridiculously dry skin. So, so dry that if I don’t moisturise, my face feels like it’s about to crack. Whilst moisturiser and night creams help, nothing is as good as a facial oil. I know the thought of putting oil on your face can sound quite daunting but just hear me out! Continue reading

Ottoman3 Brow Threading Service and Product Review

When I was younger, I would never have guessed that eyebrows would become such an important part of my life. I never knew they needed to be “on point” or “fleeking”. I just knew I had to have 2 of them!

My usual routine is to get them threaded and then keep them clean by tweezing any stray hairs. I never pluck from the top because I’m afraid of over-plucking so I need a threading ever month or so.

Embarrassingly enough, my eyes tear up when I get my threading done. When my right eyebrow is getting done, my right eye leaks. I don’t know why and no I am not crying!!

The Best Of 2015

2015 has definitely been the year in which I REALLY got into makeup and beauty. I went from learning how to use orange skin correcter to recolour my pigmentation to being able to know exactly what product you were talking about when you mentioned just a little bit about it. Makeup has gone from a hobby to a full fledged addiction!

Here’s what I discovered this year!
