Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara

So, you’ve probably seen this mascara pop up on my instagram every second post because well, I LOVE IT!

I’ve had a little bit over 3 months of use of this mascara and I think it’s time to write a review.

How much is it and where can i buy it from?
I purchased mine form Mecca for $27. Whilst $27 is above my usual spend for mascaras which is usually $10 (when Maybelline goes on sale), I thought I may as well give this one a go seeing as though it promised to “adds volume and length to your lashes whilst nourishing and conditioning them”.

Why did I buy it?
I have the problem of picking off mascara and as a result, my lashes have become stubby and theres less of them. I wanted to try a nourishing mascara as mascara is an everyday must-wear for me.

Urban Decay: Electric Palette

I never thought I’d see the day I wrote a positive review about an eye shadow palette full of neon colours! The Urban Decay Electric palette had been on my want list for months before I received it in a swap and well, let’s just say I’ve been wearing colour a lot more since! Continue reading

Diet vs Desk

It’s no secret that I love food. When asked who the love of my life is, I would answer “KFC”. On questionnaires you can find ‘eating’ under the hobbies title. At any given time, you could probably find a chocolate bar or a couple of packs of Sesame Snacks (I like to think they’re healthy) in my handbag. My filing cabinet files food. Top drawer – gum, mentos, werthers etc. Middle drawer – bags of gummy snakes and sour patch kids. And the big drawer at the bottom? Old reference documents….and bags of chips.

Mecca Beauty Loop: Level 1

So, today I went to pick up my Beauty Loop box whilst I’m on holiday in Sydney! I didn’t want to wait until I got back in fear of missing out or being later than the cutoff date (i feel like i’ve read somewhere that they stop giving them out after Aug 5th but that may just be me). This is my first ever Beauty Loop box (“omg whut but you’re always at Mecca!” IKR!) and I’m only a Level 1 (“but but you buy so much makeup how are you only level 1!”). I buy most of my makeup online and only go in store for complexion products like foundation and concealer which are rare purchases.

Anyway so let me break this down.

Vanity Planet: Spin For The Perfect Skin Reveiw

So I bought this thing. I don’t even know how to explain it apart from ‘it’s an electric toothbrush for your face…and body’. The Vanity Planet store spin, is supposed to be an affordable version of the Clarasonic or Purasonic cleansing machines. Unfortunately I have not tried either of the two machines, so this review will discuss the pros and cons of this machine itself.

Monthly Round Up: June Favourites!

So, where on earth did this year go? We’re already halfway the year! It’s time to get my taxes in order!

This month, it’s been all about the lashes for me! Working full time, I haven’t been wearing too much makeup and kept things quite neutral BUT I have been rocking strong, bold eyes that stand out underneath my glasses 😀

Sensational Gel Nail Kit Review

So, the at-home gel nail kit is becoming more and more popular. It’s a great way to save money instead of going to the nail salon a couple of times a month. I’ve been trialing the Sensationail Gel Nail kit for a year now and I think it’s about time I tell you all about it! The kit itself comes with a Lamp, Gel Cleanser, Gel Primer, Gel Base & Top Coat, Colour Gel Polish, Lint Free Wipes, Double Sided Nail Buffer and BambooManicure Stick. My kit came with the colour Scarlet Red.
(photo is missing a couple of things including the cleanser which i had to throw out because it leaked everywhere. I now use the Essence cleanser from priceline) Continue reading

The Parcel by Marie Claire: Winter Edition

So apparently I was one of the very first people to receive the box this time around! Too bad I wasn’t able to blog about until now – after exams. Grr! How’d the Winter edition go? I loved it. There are mixed reviews floating around but I can safely say I loved it. The Autumn edit was a bit of a bummer for me – there were complexion products and they just did not work on me as they were way too light. I loved the Winter edit so much, I signed on for another 2 years lol whoops 😛 Let’s take a look inside! Continue reading
